The Wishes Boulevard is a permanent installation specifically made for Thailand Biennale Korat 2021, created by Brazilian artist Sandra Cinto. This installation is reforming and reactivating Thao Suranari Memorial Park in the city center of Nakhon Ratchasima Province with ceramic tiles and trees. Sandra’s project is profoundly sensual and poetic as the artist utilizes unique blue tiles fabricated in Thailand. The tile motifs were taken from drawings made in a workshop that was held in collaboration with the local children. Through a dialogue with local imagination of future Korat cityscapes, the project shows the universal notion of the cosmos with more than 5,000 tiles of symbolic star drawings. The artist elaborates an aesthetical and meditative landscape based on the local and universal odyssey of human hardship and redemption throughout the global pandemic. It shows the audience how to co-exist with our vulnerability revealed by the current pandemic, the deep history of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and our coming future of hope.

ถนนแห่งความหวัง เป็นผลงานติดตั้งถาวรที่สร้างขึ้นโดยเฉพาะสำหรับไทยแลนด์เบียนนาเล่ โดย ซานดรา ซินตู ศิลปินชาวบราซิล งานจัดวางชุดนี้ได้เปลี่ยนรูปและคืนชีวิตให้แก่อนุสาวรีย์ย่าโม ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ใจกลางเมืองจังหวัดนครราชสีมา ด้วยกระเบื้องเซรามิคและต้นสาธร ต้นไม้ประจำจังหวัดนครราชสีมา ผลงานของซานดราเต็มไปด้วยความรู้สึก และสวยงามราวบทกวี ศิลปินใช้กระเบื้องสีฟ้าที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวซึ่งผลิตขึ้นในประเทศไทย ประกอบเข้ากับฝีมือวาดภาพของเด็ก ๆ ที่เข้าร่วมเวิร์คช็อป ผ่านบทสนทนาแห่งจินตนาการของผู้คนท้องถิ่นที่มีต่อทิวทัศน์ของเมืองในอนาคต ตัวผลงานแสดงให้เห็นถึงแนวคิดสากลเรื่องจักรวาล ด้วยกระเบื้องที่มีลวดลายเป็นสัญลักษณ์ดวงดาวมากกว่า 5,000 แผ่น ศิลปินบรรยายถึงความยากลำบากของผู้คนทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่นและสากล ในช่วงของการระบาดของไวรัสผ่านภูมิทัศน์อันเงียบสงบและงดงาม ผู้ชมจะเห็นถึงวิธีการใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับความเปราะบางที่โรคระบาดเผยให้เห็น ประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนานของจังหวัดนครราชสีมา และอนาคตแห่งความหวังที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้น
